Hehe, you won't really get the joke unless you're familiar with both Les Miserables and Sweeney Todd. Though I guess everyone can relate to pointless violence, so it's all good!

It's really quite interesting how similar Jean Valjean and Sweeney Todd are. They're both victims of a corrupt judicial system. They're both ex-convicts who lose their families. They even both have a pretty daughter (Cosette and Johanna) who is wooed by a young sexy guy (Marius and Antony, respectively).

But I think the winner of this contest is Sweeney. Sorry Valjean, but he's got a razor. Take that.

its funny cuz our musical theater department did both thees musicals and (last year Sweeney Todd and this year Les Mes) and the boy who played Sweeney last year plays Jean Valjean this year.
