Pirate Mouse Maquette... Yarr.

Description

Hooray for boring titles. And yep. This is a pirate mouse maquette. *nods*

Firstly, I don't really plan on coloring him any time soon. Maquettes aren't meant to be colored. They are used as references for animators so they can see the characters in three dimensions. It's a visualization thing. Though I'll admit, colors would make him prettier.

Aaanyway. This was one of my last projects for my Layout and Character Design class. We had to design a pirate mouse from the 1750's, and build a maquette of him/her. This is Johnny. He's the first mate, and also the nephew of the captain. He's cocky and gung-ho, and thinks he's the moral support for the crew, but the rest of the crew find him obnoxious. He always gets his way and the largest share of the loot. If he weren't related to the captain, the crew probably would've keelhauled him by now. :3 Squee.

I probably logged in at least 25 hours worth of solid work on this puppy. Probably more. He stands 8 inches tall, and is made of sculpey (with a wireframe skeleton).

... Yar.
