Rawr! This was my second pumpkin carving of the year. I like maneating plants, what can I say?

I originally carved those two tendrils to be completely removed, but then they were far too bright, so I plunked the pieces back in, and then they made a nice glowing effect. :3

The werewolf pumpkin had more shading, but this had more surface coverage, so this one took about the same amount of time to carve, 6 hours.

Oooh, I definitely love the look of this jack-o-lantern. Very scary, chaoskomori. :D

And by the way, did you know that jack-o-lanterns were originally carved out of turnips by the Irish? When they came to the New World, they became interested in carving faces into pumpkins. The more you know. :)
