So, I finally got some animation practice in. XD 'Bout time. I think my last attempt at lipsync was a year ago.

This was my first time using Digicel Flipbook, and I think I prefer it to Flash with anything that I don't intend to clean/color. Dialogue's from Professional Sweetheart, 1933, with a thanks to Dailywav.com for providing the wav file.

Also, please don't comment about the animation being "smooth." It's smooth because it has 12 drawings per second, that's all there is to it. ^______^

This is so well done! I love the movement of her head when she places her arm back on her lap, I just think that part looks incredible. This is only what I can hope to accomplish if I ever end up going to college :)

Not only you did well with animation, but the voice as well. Rarely have I seen someone being able to put those two in DA. Most I find are animated pictures with no sound.

Yeah, Flipbook isn't as computer-friendly as Flash (it feels like it's made by animators rather than computer programmers), but the ability to do soft, sketchy lines is such a big plus it's worth all the odd technical issues.

Dude, As a Traditional Animation Enthusiast/Fanatic, Digicel Flipbook May Be alot of Work and Commitment, It's a Best Way to Make Soft, Clean, Detailed Cel-Mated Films/Features. Maybe It's Something I would Like to Try Someday.

I don't know. If you're able to view the other Deviantart videos, then it's something wrong my file. But if you can't view other videos, then maybe something's wrong with your browser or computer. D:

@00:108? Where did you hear that? :/ Typical live action movies run at 30, and animated movies are 24 fps. In fact, my animation was technically done at 24 fps, but I animated every other frame (in animation lingo, "on 2's"). Having a drawing on all 24 frames (or "on 1's") is usually for fast actions.

@00:10Live action runs at 25fps. At least they used to here at least.

I heard 8 years ago, 2000s late 90s time when I was first going to be an animator. Drawing every other frame at 24fps would be 12fps wouldn't it? (You only count how many frames you draw, not the playback speed)

If you want to be technical-minded and call drawing every other frame at 24 fps "12fps," but what if you had a segment you wanted to put on 1's? I'm probably going to go back into this and put a bit of her dialogue on 1's because it's a bit choppy, and then you couldn't call it 12 fps. So I just might as well call it 24 fps because it would be silly to call it 12 fps, and then add a single frame and then say it's 24fps. ;)
