For issue 350 of the Neopian Times, Nimras23 and I did a crossover of our series. She wrote a story about my Spooky comic, and I drew a comic of her Chronicles of the Court Rogue stories. Very fun.
This has got to be the most work I've put into a Neo comic ever. (Barely managed to get it under the filesize limit, too. :< ) It was tough coming up with a comic that would both capture her characters' personalities, while still being understandable to those who aren't familiar with the series. So it was kinda' unfortunate I wasn't able to go into more depth with her characters, they're quite vivid. ((Plug: read her stories. [link] ))
But yeah, I like how it turned out, though admittedly I wish I could've come up with a stronger joke.
I think that it turned out well. It's more detailed of backgrounds than you usually do, but it was a good way of deviating from your usual Spooky style.
I particularly like her expression in the HWAA panel - and the Meridell flags are a nice touch.
I think that it's still an amusing joke, and it didn't require any knowledge of the previous stories. Plus it's always harder to come up with funny characters that aren't yours or that you don't now very well.
I think I've said that before....

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
